Dear Art Night family,
Concerned with the global health crisis and safety of our communities, we have made the difficult decision to postpone Art Night 2020.
We owe it to our team, our artists, and our audience (that’s you) to follow the latest advice from the government and World Health Organisation – and to ensure that the all night contemporary art festival takes place in a responsible and safe way.
As the medical community is now advising everyone to avoid large social gatherings, it is now safer to postpone Art Night to Summer 2021. A fixed date should be announced in the next few months.
Our current situation is going to have a huge impact on the many fantastic people we work with, and will of course affect every single aspect of our festival. Art Night is a registered charity, and relies solely on donations and support from partners to stay afloat.
Our first priority is to look after our team of freelancers and artists; to support them in these testing times.
If you are able to support Art Night via a donation, or if you would like to speak to someone from our team about hiring us out for consultancy and commissioning, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
While we are excited to share the confirmed programme of artists whose commissions we will now present in Summer 2021, things are subject to change in the coming months but we hope this gives us all something to look forward to next year.
In the interim we’d like to use our newsletter and social media as a platform for hope and dreams, solidarity and care. We will share updates from our 2020 artists throughout this period of uncertainty, and we will keep the conversation alive through livestreams, archival content, and human connection.
To all of the Art Night community: Nothing Compares 2 U.
Stay safe, stay kind, and see you again soon.
